A drill is the machine that sits on an ore deposit. The build cost was readable in the Factory Update video. How fast it digs in Reborn was not.
Around the 27-second mark of the Factory Update video I paused on a craft list: 1 crystallized iron, 1 blue sticky gear, 8 steel rods. The classic wiki lists the same ingredients. I stopped there. The classic “copper every 5 seconds, gold every 2 minutes” line has no Reborn twin.
Cost and open questions
Classic Islands places drills on copper or gold deposits and feeds them coal or oil. A competing Reborn wiki says copper nodes can appear on the personal island and that nodes are random. That placement note is one site only.

Can the wooden tools skip the drill?
Early islands use a pickaxe. The drill is a factory machine, not the first tool the Fandom starter list gives you.
